Social Stalk

Henri Schoeman showing us that professional triathletes also “Work From Home”! Here he lets us know how important it is to have a support crew with Mom (babysitting), Dad (coaching/pacing) and daughter (cheerleading/inspiring) all chipping in to his effort to beat the world’s best. South Africa is notorious for not having sufficient support structures for their elite athletes so it’s always special to see Henri performing at the highest level. Let’s hope his bad luck is behind him!

Youtube

  • Jenna & Miguel. I’m relatively new to this channel but have enjoyed some of their videos so far. The one below stood out to me where a big crew went to Kona to support their friend. Why did it stand out…their friend saying “it’s gonna be a good day!” while on the marathon in Kona!

  • Sebastian Kienle takes us through his race at Challenge Wanaka in New Zealand. This video is notable for its epic cinematography (especially on the swim) as well as somehow capturing how fast these pro triathletes run - it unfortunately often looks like they are just “jogging” yet they flying at like 3:30/km! I must admit I can’t help but feel quite sad following his “Discontinued” tour. Click below to watch:

  • Daniel Baekkegard shows us a training day while on camp in Lanzarote. The venue looks amazing so I can see why so many athletes use it. I always enjoy listening to the banter between the athletes. Daniel clearly has some ball skills but just couldn’t get a break while casually trying to knock the ball around the Padel court! Tri Toys

  • Nike Vaporfly Next % 3: the new Nike super shoe has been released. The Vaporfly range seem to be more popular than the Alphaflys so expect to start seeing these in T2 soon.

  • PTO Points Calculator: Yours truly spent some of the weekend building the new PTO points model into a website. You can play around with it at www.aerooats.com. The aim is to make input as easy as possible but allow an athlete to tweak the inputs based on “possible outcomes” and see how that could have or will effect the points.

Tri AI

Tri Meme’s
